Megan Ada - Owner
This is Megan's third restaurant to open. Sunny Street Cafe in Westerville (14 years) and Asterisk Supper Club in Uptown Westerville (8 years) and now taking on the Short North with Ampersand Asian Supper Club. Megan's dad is from Guam which has a large influence on Japanese culture. She grew up eating ramen and Japanese cuisine. Now having the opportunity to serve Japanese food has been a dream she never thought would be possible. With the talents of Chef Joshua Cook, her husband, it has become real. Learning from her strong parents to work extremely hard and never make excuses, she does not cut corners and believes in only quality product, service and of course, unique experiences and ambiance. She's shy at heart but loves getting to meet all the kind hearted guests that support her continuously. Megan wouldn't have been able to accomplish any of these dreams without the hard work from her talented team, supportive family and God. Megan is blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Ada.
Joshua Cook - Culinary Director
Josh Cook has been working in the restaurant industry since the age of 14. He started out as a busboy and food runner. While admiring everything going on in the kitchen he soon moved to the back of the house. By the age of 19 he was promoted to his first Sous Chef position with Bravo. Over the next 10 years he worked in some of the best kitchens in Columbus. He was given his first Executive Chef position at the age of 28 at Barrio Spanish Tapas. While working for Taste Hospitality Group for seven years he oversaw several different operations from restaurants, golf clubs, events and catering. He has successfully executed over 250 weddings. In May of 2017 he took on a new role as General Manager for Asterisk Supper Club. This was his first opportunity to manage not only the back of the house but the dining room as well.
Over the last year, Josh took on the challenge to learn as much about ramen as possible. With his natural talents and finesse, he takes normal ramen to the next level, bringing his culinary love to the ramen world. Josh has an amazing son who graduated from The Ohio State University and is now an elementary teacher. He is also the wonderful husband to Megan Ada (The Owner of Ampersand).
